Cecilia is an e-RYT 500 yoga instructor, Mayo Clinic-trained health and wellness coach, and certified mindfulness guide and mentor -- and someone who spent more than three decades inside the demands of leadership before she found her way back to herself. She knows firsthand what it costs to perform, produce, and lead without ever stopping to listen to yourself. She built this practice from what actually worked: returning to her body -- the only vehicle we have for living this life -- caring for it, listening to it, and remembering who she was beneath the role. Her coaching happens outside -- walking, moving, breathing in nature -- because she believes the body is where real change begins, nature is the greatest healer, and joy is something we're meant to return to, not earn.
Ovalsand Yoga & Wellness was founded by Cecilia Sandoval, a yoga teacher, certified mindfulness mentor, and Mayo Clinic–trained Health and Wellness Coach with more than three decades of leadership experience.
After many years in demanding professional environments, Cecilia experienced firsthand how easy it is to fall into the relentless pace of modern life — moving through days on autopilot and slowly losing touch with herself and what once brought her joy. Yoga and mindfulness became more than practices — they became a way for her to return to herself, listen to her body and heart, and begin rediscovering who she is and the life she wants to live.
Living along the coast of West Marin deepened that understanding. Time on the water, sunsets at the beach, and coastal and forest trails became places where her body and nervous system could soften and settle. In that space, something important returned — a sense of clarity, presence, and joy.
The practices that helped her rest, reset, and reconnect with herself became the foundation of the work she now shares with others.
